When your view matters!
There’s a fine line between keeping a property secure and keeping the view intact — especially when the brief includes aesthetics, Thames Coromandel District Council compliance, and coastal conditions.
That was the challenge for our latest fence and gate install in Tairua. Bennet Gage-Brown and the Alted Engineering crew delivered a custom galvanised steel solution that balanced durability, discretion, and design.
What the Client Needed:
✅ Keep fence height around 1m to preserve harbour and bar views
✅ Avoid encroaching on the council reserve
✅ Maintain a clean, subtle finish with low visual impact
✅ Ensure safety and compliance with pedestrian gates and pool latches
✅ Automate access with GSM control for the front gate
How We Delivered:
Custom bi-fold gate system with a hold-back mechanism to prevent swinging into restricted areas
GSM-automated sliding gate, controllable via phone or text
Magnetic, lockable latches for all pedestrian gates
Galvanised finish that naturally weathers into a soft, matte grey
Clean fabrication and install across a sloped site with varied terrain
The Result?
A fence system that blends in without compromising function. It’s durable, discreet, and future-ready — the kind of job where everything’s been thought through, from the gate clearance to the finish tone.
Not bad, if we do say so ourselves 👏
