What does a custome gate cost?
Every gate is priced on the job, because the site decides most of it. Slope, span, the material, whether it's automated, and what's already there all change the number. We'll come and measure, then quote properly rather than guess.
How long does a gate or fence take?
Around four to six weeks from deposit for most jobs. That covers drawings, materials, fabrication, galvanising or powder-coating, and install. Bigger or automated jobs can run longer.
Do you install it, or just build it?
Both. We design it, fabricate it in our Tairua workshop, and install it ourselves, with our own crane truck when a job needs lifting. One crew, start to finish.
Will a sliding gate work on a sloping or unsealed driveway?
Often yes, but not with a ground track. On a slope, a cambered drive or loose metal, a cantilever gate is usually the answer because it carries its own weight and needs no track.
What holds up in coastal conditions?
316 stainless, hot-dip galvanised steel, powder-coated aluminium and Corten, depending on the look you want and how exposed the site is. Corten weathers to a stable layer and stops there. Mild steel doesn't.
